Great audiophile recordings/albums

Hi Guys,

Can't help but to share with you this recording, it is amazing.

This is Elvis singing "Fever". I've got it from my friend who said that it is on one of Burmester sampler CDs. However I still can't locate the source.
So, I uploded the file for you to download and listen (I know that I'm not doing right thing, but hey there is no rule without exception).

File is in WMA losless format.

here is the link:

Let me know what you think. Let me know if you identify source too.

Audiophile Recordings

I'm not sure this qualifies but, for testing your system or otherwise identifying instrument timbre, you may download "Sound Quality Assessment Material recordings (essentially CD tracks) from the European Union Broadcast Union. There is also a Handbook for the EBU SQAM CD.

It is a wonderful resource and a worthwhile addition to your collection.

Berlioz

I'm a big fan of Berlioz - esp. the Requiem with four tympanists playing chords and the monumental Funeral Symphony. But here is the old cliche, Symphonie Fantastique, Simon Rattle, Berlin, EMI, 2008.

Esp. in the last movement, they hit the side drum softly and it rings at around 25 Hz. In various places at DIYaudio, I've talked about looking at music with MacCRO spectrum analyzer. Here's a screen shot from near the end of the last movement.

Each bar on the horizontal axis is 10 Hz, so we are looking at 0-100 Hz. Some really low stuff there.
