Shame you can't get the (is it volume or selector)

Shaft cut a bit shorter so the knob covers the nut without scraping the chassis,,there a pig to cut without a vice to hold the shaft. I mark the shaft with tape so I get a flat cut across the shaft. It gives a guide line.

Good luck with the mods :)

I cut with a small hacksaw..

You have to measure the length a couple of times and cut once:D (no mistakes)

Also if you cut it take your time sometimes the heat from the cut can damage the track inside the pot.

I used to cut freehand ..LOL..I now use tape to mark the line for the cut after having to file the end to get it straight..not so bad if its a plastic shaft..

It does make the project look better...however if its on a circuit board its a difficult choice..

Yes Dremel,

I use mine alot...it does generate some heat so you have to go bit at a time..If the shaft is metal it heats the inside of the pot so I let it cool and cut again..

The main thing is getting the measurement right first time..:D
Some people rush it and scrap the pot..LOL
