Hey,
What would be the best type of speaker to build for a first time project?
I'm currently studying sound design technology at uni, I'm just about to enter my final year. I decided I want to build a speaker for my final major project.
But I dont really know where to start, or what would be the best type.
Thanks in advance
Roxy
Before we forget what's the topic about.
What do you want to do with it. Just a simple speakers with good performance but not very complicated designs with outstanding results? And what is your knowledge with crossover design?
I think it's best to try a fullrange/2-way.
What does your teacher(s) expect of your project?
Some more info please.
Thanks, sounds like an early version of LspCad.

Hi,
Frequency response of my mains. - My Photo Gallery
vs
Bass response, as modelled by winISD. - My Photo Gallery
They both show bass rolling off just before 50Hz, with an f3 of mid 40s, f10 of mid 30s.

hi,
the JBL handbook may help, but not much for a sub,

rgds, sreten.
FWIW a quality 2 -way speaker allows you to explore far more issues than
a sub, sub issues are essentially covered by the bass end of of the 2-way.
