I just discovered this thread. A lot of CD transports have disappeared and it is great to see the Shigaclone CD Transport alive and kicking. I only have 1 question. Is the objective of the Shigaclone to make the best transport you know how? Which is why you are constantly upgrading the Shigaclone?
I am trying to spread the word on the Shigaclone because there are very few transport in the marketplace and because most of all Shigaclone is affordable and has high aspirations to be the best that it can be. The design is not static, it is fluid. What changes for the better have been made since March 27 2008?
There are lots of versions of the Shigaclone. Who do you like?

Audiostar, I haven't had much time to follow the Polish forums recently, but I will try to get an update.
Regarding the Shigaclone idea... I think what it is depends on the person. To many, it was an inexpensive way to obtain a transport to rival high-end (which could be achieved for as little as 100£ while the boomboxes were available). Some decided to take it further, and the potential is definitely there - a well-upgraded Shiga could sit proudly right next to some of the very best transports ever made.

Philips CD-Pro2LF + Audio-gd NFB-2
I’m toying with the idea of coupling the Philips CD-Pro2LF with the Audio-gd NFB-2 as the NFB-2 uses 2 WM8741 chips. Things like interfacing transport control, power supply and interfacing the Philips with the Audio-gd, if possible, are where I’m going to need a lot of help. The case for the CD-Pro I can build with resources from the TechShop in Round Rock, Texas along with the clamp.

SHIGA chassis
For those still looking for a chassis for their Shiga, maybe there is hope.
Except top, which is laser cut stainless steel, the rest of the box is full aluminum.

Hi TIbi,
How much for the chassis?
Thanks
I still wait an offer for 50, 100 and 200 sets.
This prototype was too expensive.
I'll announce the price here and if people will show interest will proceed further.

Tibi
