what do you mean meccanically? using absorbing material?

Anyway I thought to not use the FE206E because at higher spl is really fatiguing to listen and the musical notes are harsh,it is just good at normal and medium volume with good recorded cds. And

I know that if I have that woofer in horn I'm going surely to listen at high spl. I'm wondering what spl is dangerous for the ears, for sure when I feel pain or near pain it's too much for the ears.

It is hard to find a unit to use for substitute. I've seen some compression driver that do 400/500-20000hz.

I have the FR of Hawthorn driver, but it seems not enough sensible.

I was thinking, if I cut the wizzer cone to the FE206E and add a supertweeter? Could it sound more like the FF225k? Anyone tried? And offcourse install the phase plug and put the varnish danmar on the cone

Hello,

I think I found something that on paper looks good:

For midrange:

BEYMA 8M60N
http://www.beyma.de/fileadmin/seiten/download/pdf/Beyma_Studio/8M60N.pdf

Beyma 8M70
http://profesional.beyma.com/ENGLISH/pdf/descarga.php?pdf=8M70.pdf

Beyma 6MI90
http://www.beyma.de/fileadmin/seiten/download/pdf/Beyma_professional/2007-M_rz-6MI90_1_.pdf
This one is more sensitive but have a large peak around 5K.

For tweeter:
Beyma T2030
http://www.beyma.de/fileadmin/seiten/download/pdf/Beyma_Studio/T2030.pdf

With that midrange I can cross out of the Frs where ear is most sensitive as you said.

The other alternative is to do some tricks on FE206E that if they don't substantially work aren't money worth.

Hello,

now I have some time to build. The cabinet is 19 inch wide(internal), right?

The problem is that I've not decided yet what to do. I came across this coaxial the beyma xc30
http://profesional.beyma.com/ENGLISH/pdf/descarga.php?pdf=12XC30.pdf

and I read this post
http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=74241&perpage=25&highlight=&pagenumber=1
they're having good experience with coaxial....

What if I put this coaxial in that horn enclosure?
I can always damp it down if it's too big...

Otherwise I will build the horn with the eminence woofer

hi Scottmoose - by guesstimate, could Martinsoundpro's 1844/15269 drop into this J-horn w/o peaking? - 1844 used to be $89.95US but inflation and weak $ probably shoved them up to $120- cone is pretty good sounding - mounted in a little K, 1844 shelved above 300 due to high Le plus not as sensitive in 1st place vs lower mass 15

btw - I'm confused as to which Eminence work

1844/15269 (Eminence spec 151269)
Resistance-6.21ohm/Spl-94dB/Magnet-56oz/Voice coil-2.5in./FS-23.4Hz/VAS-16.27ft3/Qms-11.63/Qes-0.35/Qts-0.34/Xmax-9.1mm, Le~4.1mH
