EMI and RFI _ a very basic question.

I have an nice older MSW inverter used as my backup power system. FWIW it works fine powering my old PC ATX power supplies that meet 80% eff. bronze ratings. would NOT dare run this setup on a newer PFC ATX. sigh... now I have to chuck both in the landfill and upgrade. not cheap or waste eff. probably dumped right next to all the old analog audio amps being shuffled out for class D hehe

So a newer PFC ATX would (choke on) the old invertor's "dirty sine"
(or modified square wave) ?
Too many harmonics ....

Ahh , the Corsair's use "interleaved PFC' Interleaving Brings PFC to New Heights | PowerGuru - Power Electronics Information Portal
Thermaltake is also a Seasonic interleaved (real fast 300K+).
Most users with a stepped square UPS say no problem with these units.
Antec PFC's are "slower" typical PFC , many reboots. "Earthwatt" units
suck on UPS power.
