Last weekend I took a short break from baffles to listen to
my Lowther-in-a-box, which is a pair of C45 (the cheapest drive
they have) in sealed Parts Express boxes and mated with a
pair of Velodyne subs that Fry's was selling for $129.

The result required some baffle-step-correction for the Lowthers,
(easy to do) and the result was surprisingly good. What
surprised me was that I was easily able to set the Velodyne
crossover to match the Lowthers, and the merge between the
two was very good at 200 Hz, with the amplitude and phase
matching well.

A very listenable system with a $1000 or so retail cost.

Haha, after the OB crossover hurdle, setting the crossover for the boxes is a piece of cake, isn't it? Now, just put that Feastrex in a box and let us know how good it sounds. But, please don't mention the price... :D
