Diffractions on the front speaker baffle?

I agree with the specs being off as I have read the same thing from other diyers. Also I will have to look into the RS Voigt project thanks. Well I don't remember anything about this project? Must be a older design with the Radio Shack full range driver's? Jeff

I firmly believe that the reason no one can get measurements that match the published Fostex data is that we are not using the same set of conditions at home that Fostex uses in the factory. I have built any number of speakers using the Fostex published data and the resulting speaker is spot on to the modeled data. We had this pi**ing contest over manufacturers publishing fictitious spec a while back.By this time in my career, I pretty much know whose data to believe and whose to ignore. Fostex is one I believe.

Good to know, thanks! I've no hand's on experience with them beyond the old Foster drivers, only done sims for other's using published specs.

Altec was another that didn't 'play by the rules' WRT T/S measurements, they used the American 4 ft distance.

Yes a near field monitor size without the back loaded horn foot print. Jeff
