This specification of the DVD
The main system unit also contains the audio circuitry for the centre, subwoofer
and surround channels, based on two Texas Instruments/Burr Brown PCM1796 chips (each chip operating in stereo or dual channel mode), eight 2068D op amp chips plus an assortment of fairly high quality capacitors. I also noticed two oscillators, operating at 24.576MHz and 18.75MHz.
On top of this board, completely enclosed by metal shielding to protect the audio circuits, is a separate board for the FireWire interface. The design is based on a Bridgeco L5A9625 processor and is separately clocked using 22.579MHz and 24.576MHz oscillators.
The third board stacked topmost is a dedicated board for the audio front left/right channels. Here we find another two PCM1796 plus no less than ten 2068D op amps and accompanying capacitors. The Denon literature implies that one PCM1796 is used for the dedicated stereo left/right outputs (containing a downmixed signal for multi-channel sources) and the other is used for the front left/right channels forming part of the analogue 5.1 outputs.
In 3910 my brother has a total of 18 2068D OPAMP
on different audio circuit 10 on Sketch 14 and 8 mor on Sketch 7

Well you can change all of them, but If I where to only use the FL,FR output I would only change the IC307-310.SL. SR .C OPAMPS -Sketch 7

hi i need denon dvd-3910 service manual
to do a opamps mod ?
or output Audio Boards schematics ?
2 opamps
not oll the 6
I'm looking to replace only the stereo channels ( op 627)
I hear only stereo
What opamps to change ?????
I almost bought a 3910 new when they came out but I declined because I didn't like the sound..Hooked up in stereo,it sounded muddy or hollow and even tho the picture was incredible,I was going to use it mostly for audio....I'm a vinyl guy now so I lost interest in CDs but,I picked up a 3910 last december for 165 dollars..I figure for that, what the hell.I know there is a modification for this unit that the guy in California does however,I use a CAL audio labs Sigma 2 DAC so I didn't have to do the mod..I would really like to do the mod just to optimize it in stereo.
I use the DENON 3910 only for sacd -rI almost bought a 3910 new when they came out but I declined because I didn't like the sound..Hooked up in stereo,it sounded muddy or hollow and even tho the picture was incredible,I was going to use it mostly for audio....I'm a vinyl guy now so I lost interest in CDs but,I picked up a 3910 last december for 165 dollars..I figure for that, what the hell.I know there is a modification for this unit that the guy in California does however,I use a CAL audio labs Sigma 2 DAC so I didn't have to do the mod..I would really like to do the mod just to optimize it in stereo.
I bought it because it reads burned SACD
for cd play i have arcam cd 192 Great Player
I hope in a week to buy the components to start the project
Meanwhile, I do extensive research to make a comprehensive change in audio circuit
How is the improvmend after replacing the OP AMP ?
And did you changed something else in the 3910 ?
I only changed to the LM4562 in a couple of PC soundcard and the sound came out clearer.
I changed all the regulators in the PSU (DVD3910),but I´m not sure about the outcome..(soundwise).
