I'm concerned about the reports of edge damage.
Even with a layer of bubblewrap, the corners of the chassis are too close to the outer edge of the cardboard box to be considered properly protected.
There needs to be additional space around the chassis, just 1 cm would be OK ... the cardboard box needs to be larger.

Hi Audiodesign and Quanghao,

- When I click "Mute" the DAC shut off correctly. This is OK.

- When I press volume controls on the front panel or on the remote I can't get 0%. The lowest value is 1%. This is a problem because the signal does not shut down completly and stays at a level which is quite loud : I can hear the music everywhere in my house... :( :( :( This problem occurs either on Coax input or on Optical input. I didn't try yet on USB and AES/EBU inputs.

What can you suggest to me ?

My "build" - unbalanced direct out. I am planninng on replacing the toroid with an r-core transformer. The DAC seems to be very sensitive to power line influences. When I switch the bathroom lights the DAC looses the lock for a second. USB only so far.

The sound is an improvement compared to the Musical Fidelity V-DAC II which I was listening with for a year now. A very noticeable improvement in bass.
