Was Bjorno's design not 50 litres? It doesn't matt too much anyway as you should measure the speaker once in the box to design the Linkwitz Transform.

Considering most commercial subs are vented and probably only hit 40Hz anechoically, I think you will find 30Hz pretty good, so there is room for relaxing that requirement a little IMO.

Just take care that the box is well braced.
 
Richie, Bjorno had calculated for 50L boxes. But I thought of building 60L boxes just to accommodate braces. And an amp module in case I decide to put it in the box. If the box is too big, I could always put a couple of bricks or something else to reduce volume.
