Jim sells some excellent equipment (and has done some first rate designs and articles). He also sells total scam stuff. That puts him in a much more tenable position than the pure scammers like Kait or the guys who sell CD demagnetizers or $10k cables.
edit: Looking at Jim's site, he doesn't seem to list the cable burn-in stuff for sale anymore. Kudos!

$649???? Jumpin Jeebus on a pogo stick!
Id pay $649 to see that instead LMAO!
O.M.G...
Has anyone looked at the schematic?? Seriously, the guy must be playing a joke. There's maybe $35 of components, throw in another $10 or $15 for the faceplate and box...
This person must laugh himself silly every time he sells one, I know I would.
A fool and his money are soon parted.

No, about -110 with just one tone, no IM. Remember, the distortion level gets amplified by at least 30 dB by the power amp.
Well, you have to have a signal in order to have distortion, and isn't the signal amplified by 30dB as well?
If that's a Pelican case as it appears your calculations are already thrashed. There's maybe $35 of components, throw in another $10 or $15 for the faceplate and box...

50-60$ at least for that case
You can get a demagnetizer here for your DVD's, CD's, etc. Plus it works on cables. The question: If you demagnetize your cables, do you do it after or before you burn them in ? Do you need to burn them after demagnetizing them ?

That's no Pelican, I have several. It's a cheap knock-off, look at the hinges. Bought in bulk, and wholesale.
So do I, looks equivalent quality to me. Do you think you can just throw out disparaging claims without challenge because of your 'side'? That's not how it works, prove your contentions. Price it out with small production labour rates, the same machined metal panel, etc. for $50. Dazzle.
In this strange land you could probably hear benefits merely by looking at the ad.
To be a good citizen you should ante up and do the Machina Dynamica teleportation tweek. He is an aerospace engineer afterall.

I should invent a potion for burning in cables, you could use it to demagnetize DVD's too. Howmuch could I get for it ?
well, if you could make a small quantity, you could sell it for $$$$$$$$, because only those who want the best broken in cables will be able to buy it, and the cost of a cd de-magnetize r well i bet you could get 25,000$ per drop. USD tho of course
