Hi Victor,

The transformer is back in the chassis. There was a certain geeky charm to having it in a doghouse but practicality won out in the end. It also gives enough weight to the preamp to keep it from sliding around when being turned on. It was a worthwhile experiment and kept the transformer beyond suspicion for much of the latter changes.
