Here is one single end 2SK1058/2SJ162 amplifier in Class A.
Uses one 24VDC supply and total of 6 transistors.

The performance is hifi quality. 0.001% THD at 1 Watt.
Max 7.6 Watt at less than 0.200% THD

Hi Lineup,

Do you like your 20W version better or this SE version?

What would be a good replacement for the 2SA970/2SC2240?

If you have time, please email me directly. Thanks.

Hi,

Thought we could make a collection of 2SK1058/2SJ162 amplifiers.

Jim Strickland's various Amplifiers with either 2SK135/2SJ50 series or the electrically essentially identical 2SK1058/2SJ162. Starting with the Acoustat TNT-120 and TNT-200 and the later Hafler Pro Amp's. I am attaching the TNT-120 for fun. Others can be found on-line.

Ciao T

boyet0173 ,I do not have such a great experience, I just gathered a few amps and more complex and compared with the factory amps but this one I like the fact that (I do not know how to describe a sound) it sounds like it is transparent and accurate bass and as my friend, "he as if he adds the bass "in general is fundamental.
I think that depends on the power supply.
In general, I almost found my ideal sound. As more is written in the link I gave, "that would need to understand this amp is very very very good acoustic system"
Something like this -)
