but be warned, i havent had time to resize them yet do theyre 4 mega pixel images.
Ive been doing the fiberglassing all weekend so should have the shells of the smaller satellite speakers ready in the next couple of days. The fiberglass thing in the last two photos is the mould for the shells, they wont be all bumpy like that one as they will be moulded from inside it. Its going well, the project has to finished in two weeks so its all go!

Well i think it might be do-able, its gonna be tight tho- think i may have bitten off more than i can chew hehe.
It so annoying seeing all the people with small projects knocking them out using the rapid prototyping machines- theres even a few people getting stuff outsourced and made by outside companies, kinda takes the mickey when some of us have been in workshops 9-5 every possible day for the last 6 weeks
O well ill just have to see how it goes
All the wood stuff is virtually done, so its just a bit of fiberglassing and then paint. Workshops are open till 8pm this week so i get a few extra hours.

hehehe yea thats about right
its not just the freshers tho, most of the finalists are just as bad at making things so theyre constantly asking me how to do stuff, especially involving GRP or painting
Just spent 10 mins down in the GRP shop (head of department is my project tutor so i get my own key ) and got this out the mould:

so just a bit of trimming and ive got the outside of a speaker: the thing is still coated in release agent so once its had a clean itll come up nice and shiny.
