LM3886 Schematics + PCB

Hey Prasi,

Thanks very much for the link! I'm really trying to incorporate the Klever Clipper and the DC Servo as well as the Buffer, so will follow your layout as a guide for my PCB as best I can.

Yes I have some very good Keralite, Marathi and Goan friends from my days in Dubai.

Take care!

Hi,
sure , here they are.
All the best for your build.
I also have a single sided version(untested), if you are interested, posted previously.

regards
Prasi
Hi Prasi, I've received the PCBs that I ordered from PCBWay. They did a nice job and I like the option to have red or blue mask.
I have some questions regarding parts choice. All resistors may be 1/4W or 1/2W right? Is zener diode 1/2 or 1W? What is the hole near the negative side of C6?
Thanks.

Hi Jonathan,
yes, all my resistors were 1/4W, you could use 1/2 W for R11.
For the zener, I used a 1W zener that I had in my parts bin, you could use 1/2 W.
The hole near C6 is a 'via' used to change layer of the trace from bottom to top.
Hope this helps.

Prasi
other parts recommendations.
1. good quality film cap for C8
2. NPO/C0G for C2
3.For R11, you can even fit 1-2W if you can find a small enough resistor package.

Getting going on a APEX Super Gainclone. Purchased some boards and parts from prasi a while back. He put together a great kit for me. Really really good. Thank you prasi.

Second pic is of the power supply that will be next to put together. Hopefully in the next couple weeks I'll post pics of a finished amp.

Hello bender,
Thanks. Nice build!, even better than me!
The kit included everything, even the op-amp, its socket, heatsink and its insulation, all passives, terminal blocks, except I think the LM3886, am I right?

The orange Keltron caps, ubiquitous/omnipresent in India, finally make it to USA!.
All the best for firing it up!

Regards
Prasi

It was a complete kit. You even included the 3886 chips. Was very well put together. If I remember right I wasn't expecting the 3886 chips but they were in there. Big thanks to you for a great kit. I've seen no better!!
:)

I don't know about CRC filters. Power supplies are something I wish I knew more about. Just an old design I saw and will implement... So what is a CRC filter?

R and C form a low pass filter. Here is an example of an CRC PSU filter.
However, I don't think CRC or CLC or capacitance multipliers filters are adequate for class AB(current pulses) as they bring more trouble than good.

I saw several caps and four resistors so I presumed it was a CRC without seeing a schematic.
