Calico, what keeps the oil in?
Supermagnetman has small 2" discs.
that's exactly my concern and I have no idea.
I just bought the Tungsten for the shaft.
of course I will put oil on top of it, but that will be gone in hours.
there is no way I can "thread" the tungsten for keeping the oil "upword".
or should this without oil at all ? I don't thing so ...
Its usual to have a one piece bearing journal with the bearing spindle being mated to the subplatter. Your magnets act between subplatter and chassis, not in between halves of the bearing journal.
Maglev and inverted bearings similarly isn't wiinningly easy.

I do not use subplatter, just chasis and platter.
