Howdy folks,
I recently got a hold of a number of Krell power transistors 484002 and 484081. Does anyone have the definitive specs on them? Are they the TO 3 versions of 2SC3281/2SA1302 or early versions on the ON MJW/NJL/NJW versions? Or are they of 4281/4302 types, which are higher voltage and more rugged?
TIA!

I think they are MJ15003 and MJ15004 or similar.
Thanks.
I thought these were more in the 3281/1302 family? I had some very vague memory reading that the Krell transistors are actually 4281/4302 but I could not find the source any more.
as far as i know the 3281/4281 type series is a TO-247 case which the non D'agostino krell may have used but all the big ol Dan-o Krell's used metal can TO-3 types and i thought were the MJ150024/25 types??
Couple of things:
1. I have in my possession a bunch of Krell transistors labelled 484025 and I have seen 484024 as well. I believe those are the MJ15024 and MJ15025.
2. I read somewhere that Krell had commissioned ON (or Mot at that time) to make a TO3 power transistor pair based on the 3281/1302 and labelled them 484081 and 484002. What is not clear to me is what the actual specs are, even ON 3281/1302 have a number of variants in breakdown voltages and whether they could actually be the 4281/4302 type.
Hi, I recently faced problem with my Krell 250A with one channel failing. Two of the rail fuses inside were blown. I checked and found several power transistors on the output stage were shorted. I purchased the MJ 15024/25 pair from RS components and replaced all the 7 pairs of transistors. It is now working fine!
Krell KSA 50
Hi
I am wondering if anyone can help me, I have a Krell KSA 50 and a need to buy power transistors MJ15003 and MJ15004, does anyone have any idea where I can purchase these online?
I also need Krell 317b and Krell 417b and a nod 3439 and Mds
all help appreciated
best

Anyone here know what are the replacements to Krell 317B and 417B transistors?
Show us the transistor and where it sits in the circuit.

Those are the usual Krell Drivers 15030/31
Thank you so much! Good to know I can still easily get them.
Any idea which is which?
I will have the driver boards, power supply, and output devices from a pair of KMA 100 available for sale soon.
Let me know. I'm interested.
