Just about finished my first build, Mk 3's with a Arts & Crafts twist. Someday I'll make them out of oak ... but for now its paint and vertical Doug Fir veneer. CHP -70s and I am happy with the sound. I'd like to build two mono tube amps for each speaker, hopefully on 12V DC. Any thoughts.
LOL those are funny! Altough those rabbit ears looks interesting, I think without would be realy pretty, nice combination of colors man!
Nearly finished my first build and paint job.

JFunk, now that's funkaaay! Unique FH Mk3 from the guy with 4 displays on his desktop and a plotter to boot...
How do you like the sound?
I'm really impressed with them - at the moment I have some cheap but good specked chiniese drivers in them running of a modified Tripath amp and they sound very good - I think the only thing holding them back is the lack of a suitable corner to put them in in my work shop but when I finally finish them and get them home the real testing will begin. I have some fostex drivers on the way to try out in them and then hopefully I can build and spray up a few more pairs

They seem really good. In some big corner horns I managed to get them rumbling the room down to 20hz which was a surprise from some 4" drivers they do seem to lack a bit of sparkle at the high end but for £40 a pair they are awesome. Hopefully when the fostex fe126 arrive I can have a compare a vs b as I don't have anything similar as a refference

I have finally managed to get my hands on some Fostex FE126En to have a bit of a compare and contrast with the HiEnd 4" Chinese drivers I have been playing with.
The FE126En have more detailed mids but seem to lack a lot of the bass that the Chinese ones have.
The Chinese drivers on ebay would definitely be worth a try for anyone who listens to reggae, dub or a bit of jazz bass. I have been using them at home for home cinema and they thud and rumble with the best of them but they do lack a bit of detail below 80hz.
Admittedly I have only given the FE126 a 10hr burn in so far and they are not in a decent corner so I will reserve judgement until I can get them home

I wish it was inlay. I had big plans to do some more involved marketry, but the stripes, which *do* look like inlay in person, were created by applying automotive pin stripe tape before staining, then removing the tape after staining. Then 2 coats of clear poly to finish it off.
I was pleased with the color match of the stain with the driver color.

I think I got lucky with my pinstripe tape....whopping $1.79 at my local Advance Auto. I was very careful to lightly sand the part, then use a fresh tack cloth to prepare the surface. Then, once I located the stripe, I used a fair amount of pressure on the edges of the tape. I was prepared to use a heat gun if residue was a problem, but it wasn't necessary!

Thank you very much!See the drawings
Here is a pair that I just finished. They are a Christmas present for a friend of mine. I used Tang Band W5-1611SAF drivers and I'm very pleased with how they sound.
