John Curl's Blowtorch preamplifier part II

Again, I'm not trying to convince anybody of my view - mostly my posts are a suggestion to others to try something that I have found to be useful. This is what I object to - the censorship & stifling attitude that is perpetrated by some here where any suggestion undergoes the measurement police inspection & gets shat upon (bet that swear isn't picked up).

The answer is always just go a try it. I started a thread about a $12 device to try & 60 pages later only about 3 people had tried it or were brave enough to post that they had tried it - shocking!

Yes Jan, I've done blind testing & as I said I wouldn't waste my time using it to differentiate gross differences - meaningless. Give me an example of this in your experience - where you were convinced of a major difference in sound & then blind couldn't tell them apart?

- the censorship that is perpetrated here

You can insult me all you want, I honestly don't care and won't respond to any of that. But here, you're making a severe accusation about the integrity of this forum's management, who have an institutional policy of not censoring ANY technical arguments, even the clearly incorrect, uninformed, or downright stupid ones.

There are many ways to stifle a free & open discussion as you are well aware!

Maybe you should do a poll of this very question or are you afraid of the answer?

Anyway, that's not what I said - my edit was done before you made your post!

BTW, I'm not insulting you - you choose to take it like that or to couch it in those terms for sympathetic reasons, no doubt. What I simply did was point out how you manipulated Jan's post about hypothetical listening tests into a disingenuous statement. You ignored Rod's question about this test & I followed up with the question again. Should this sort of thing not be pursued?

Everyone is aware where everyone stands in this matter. Some of the protagonists have taken similar totally unalterable positions in other threads. If those threads are anyway reliable as to how this thread will develop I respectfully counsel that it is time to revert to the main topic.....the design of a preamplifier...... as it is clear that not only has the matter of controlled testing already been flogged to death but that this latest reincarnation of the subject will do no more than drag all concerned into further fruitless argument and associated frustration.

da Vinci studied under Andrea del Verrocchio and shared the early painting of "the Baptism of Christ."

The de Predis brothers were also involved a bit in his art.

His exploration of science was done with his colleagues Luca Pacioli and Marcantonio della Torre.

Of course his patrons often had input into his paintings, Opposite "the Last Supper" he added portraits of his sponsors in tempura to the existing Giovanni Donato da Montorfano "Crucifixion." Even "the Last Supper" has been repaired so many times it is really a collaborative work.

Not to mention the Clergy's influence on his work.

Just to really confuse things you can actually also have a committee of one!
