Thanks chlorofille, I've just compared your pictures with my boards, and they are the same. In my boards there is nothing you could may think that is burned. They are new as they came. Here are some photos of the top and underside of the board. Had a hard time getting to focus on small components for the top view.
May be I can get them "refurbished" from Arjen. He is being very helpfull with all this. Also all of you you are very kind, THANKS.
I'll keep to update to what is happening.
Bye
With help from Arjen, I got my 2050 boards up and running again. I'm extremely pleased with the sound quality and the construction quality. There's much more room on the board for modifications, should you go that way and the boards made from better material.
The overall sound is relaxed but detailed. It's a marked improvement over the SURE board (which is very good, especially for the price) and the 2020.

Thanks. I used shematic from this link: Roman Black's gainclone amp with som minor modification to match the voltage. The toroids are 22VAC. 12x2200uF Low impedance caps.
I will be running this in a 4-way active setup with pc xo and eq, but with a more powerfull amp for the bass.

Well I finally got the time to wire up Arjens boards. I'm using some Jupiter cloth covered solid core wire for signal with Vampire input jacks. The speaker posts are Cardas. I'm trying a lithium battery pack with a three step charger. I replaced the stock input caps with cascaded Sonicaps. The first hi res file of Boz Scaggs' "Dig" sounds mighty fine, if it improves with burn in I'll be in sonic nirvana...
...any news about Arjen's TK2050 bosrds?
Haven't seen anything at ebay yet.
I could not wait...
I wanted to do a second 2050 without the tube buffer before Christ-mass, had to go with HifimeDIY. Arjen's 2050 sound fantastic.

Great!
please let us know how does it compare to arjen's boards.
wouldn't it be an option to
b)Arjen could send these as a kit, and let's solder like crazy
If you're OK with soldering, then there's no question about it: Buy kits from 41Hz. They have the best components and layout, and the longest experience in designing Tripath amps.
mmhh, i forgot about 41hz, i thought that arjen's amp were a little bit better.
i suspect you advice the amp 4 as better equivalent of the arjen ?
i wonder if the 41hz need any tweaks: that said i mean, the arjen and sure have an enormous amount of tweaks, maybe the 41hz doesn't need them.
thanks
