I have a NOS, very well made power supply that hums quite badly, not usable for audio projects. Will restacking the core cure the problem? Any experience to share? Thanks.
The HUM is usually from the windings... a loose winding...
If you re-varnish the transformer you "might" fix this problem...
It needs to be vacuum varnished, so the avrnish gets into the transformer deeply..
