Yamano's amp uses the 808 operated in Class A2 and the IT is configured as 2:1 stepdown with Shishido's inverted IT scheme, that is, the grid current from the 808 (indicated as 30ma @ +42 grid volts) balances the standing DC current (28ma) of the triode-connected 6L6GC's plate circuit. The Tango NC-10's primary inductance of 30H is just adequate for the driving tube's plate resistance. He could have used an NC-14 with 50H, or maybe even a PP IT such as an NC-22 with 300H primary inductance since it can stand a 3ma imbalance.
