I'm going to build my first tube amp and my loudspeaker is a 4 ohm stati design.
My thinking is that I should custom order OPTs with 4 ohm secondaries. I do have an option, Transcendar (they are back in business), could do dual 4-8 ohm secondaries and I could then switch to to see which secondaries sounds better. But, that will be more $$.
Any thoughts?

There are TONS of ready built 4 ohm output transformers, why custom build?
Plus we need more information about what you want to build.

Yes, there are tons of OPTs, but every product I am considering are made to order anyway, even big brands like Edcor are made to order. So I can choose
