Sorry if this has been addressed, and it's not really tube related, except that I'll connect it to tube gear. Anyway, I'm looking for recommendations for a good coax for interconnect cables. I bought some nice screw-down RCA plugs and I'm gonna try my hand at cable making. The plugs will accept up to 8mm diameter cable. Sources appreciated.

I like expanded polyethylene dielectric, and copper conductors. Especially in tube gear, such low capacitance cables work well.
Watch out for melting the foam dielectric when soldering.

I can recommend Belden, the two types i have used are,
Belden 89259 http://www.belden.com/techdatas/metric/89259.pdf , plain copper shield and conductor, Teflon insulation, 4.9mm overall diameter, 56.7pF/Meter. Only downside is its fairly rigid and inflexible.
Belden 1505F http://www.belden.com/techdatas/metric/1505F.pdf , tinned copper shield, plain copper conductor, PVC insulation, 6.1mm outer diameter, 55.7pF/Meter. Softer and more flexible than the above, also available in various colours.

I use 89259 internal conductors (PTFE insulated) twisted each other in my unshielded interconnects.
Belden 1505 or 1694 is very good to DAC SPDIF interconnect (with 75 ohm RCA connectors - for example Canare RCA crimp plug-).

I found the same, here are some measurements i got from various cables i had to hand.
Belden 89259 .75m = 47pf
Cambridge Audio Silver Reference .75m = 52pf
Cambridge Audio Qunex 99% OFC .75m = 104pf
Multicore cables (i.e. non coax)
NavShips 2x24g dual core shielded silver plated 1m = 54pf
Canare L-2T2S dual core shielded 1m = 78pf
Van Damme XKE quad core shielded silver plated 1m = 88pf
Canare L-4E6S quad core shielded 1m = 160pf
Lately I've been using Mogami W2319 guitar cable. It's not all that low in capacitance but it seems to make a good unbalanced interconnect of moderate length. It's flexible and pretty cheap ($0.52/ft). I've been buying it from Markertek ( Mogami W2319 High Impedance Transmission Guitar Cable Black 328ft).

Just checked my own guitar cable and its Mogami W2524. Never occurred to me to use it for interconnects, sourced it from from tubedepot while buying parts for an amp build. https://www.tubedepot.com/products/mogami-w2524-instrument-cable

It came out to a DNA helix as described in the article but instead of silver, I used a litz wire of 50 strands.
Very hard to beat. Cheap enough, except the WBTs that now do make a difference. Strongly recommended to everyone.

Stay away from that website. It's full of audiophile myths.

Not the same tropic but, In the 1980's these blew away Audioquest quartz.
Its interesting to look at the construction if nothing else..I was very sceptical at the time so it was demonstrated to me..OK ears test.
I remember listening to some chord equipment with Epos 25's at the time..but I'll not comment.
It probably didn't help when I had listened to some Maggies about 5 minutes earlier..
