Question on the above mentioned 6N6T: does anyone know of an english datasheet or can at least provide some basic data of this tube?
I see an application here with 550V across the tube during normal operation and still wonder whether this is ingenious or insane . The tube seems to survive quite happy though, but this means it can't just be a chinese substitude for the russian 6N6P or the european E182CC...
Any enlightenment is very much appreciated,
Marcus

I would say it is in the insane category... Here is the datasheet, the ratings are shown in the brackets which should be self-explanatory, Uamax is 300V only.
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
I would say it is in the insane category...
So no magic chinese made 6N6 w/ higher limits, just pure luck... and someone based an amplifier on that... Guess I have to find an alternative to make it work reliable...
Marcus
P.S. Nice database...

No magic Chinese secret recipe here, may be Russian mil-spec can do better?!
