I have a CounterPoint SA-12 that I just repaired but can not find the correct BIAS current setting for the outputs (orginal MOSFET). Can anyone help with this setting.
According to the manual, the output pair should run at 450 to 500 mA quiescent. This can be measured by inserting a 1R0 resistor into the fuseholder and measuring 0.45-0.5V across the resistor. The amp should be running for 2-4 hours at the normal ambient temperature before the final settting is made. You may need to adjust the dc offset as well.

You may consider a lower quiescent current in the interest of preserving the ageing components in your amplifier.
