in these modern times,with sophistication of the technology.could it be that one day an infinite voltage source be developped or is this impossible as no matter what is done some resistance will aĺways be present.?

Depends on the material, some work at over 100K at present. When superconductivity is needed, the liquid nitrogen cooling is cheap relative to the performance.

My mistake.ok ideal voltage source .sorry for confusion.I went to recheck the books you are all right .but i could have sworn to have seen infinite in the text.May be its time for a trip to the doctor.

The answer to almost any question of the form "Can we make an ideal X?" is "no". However, we can sometimes get very close e.g. superconductors.

Can we make an infinite ANYthing? No.

Can we make an Ideal thing? Really perfectly ideal, no. "Ideal enough for our needs"? Yes, sometimes.

Superconductors are not Sources. Just jumpers to a source.

We could perhaps wind the generator with superconductors. But there is impedance in the iron core.

What *real* generators do is Regulate, and even Compound. Adjust the field strength to keep terminal voltage constant. "Ideal Voltage Source". Or go further: sense output current also and make voltage RISE with current. "Negative Impedance". The goal is so the voltage at the faraway Load stays "constant". (-R) + (+R) = Zero impedance.

The *whole* point of Engineering is to handle the NON-Ideal details to make ideal-enough machines.
