They are open back , similar to infinite baffle so i hear everything.

Just don't listen to any tracks with a truck or a car or a train horn in them or else you might get spooked and fall off your bike.
Yes, has really happened. RnB has frequent sound effects that fooled me.
I've biked the paths here for over 10 years, started out with a 26" cruzer and iRiver / Alesrando headphones. Four bikes later now using a Gates carbon fiber belt drive with Sr80 and hires media player. Intersections are a problem though.
I think the Alesrando was a private label Grado SR81.
Most biking done at night, no lighting on trails so two hipower LED flashlights strapped on.

No, you hear whatever noises are louder than the music you are listening too. Let us know what a Prius tastes like.
I hear the tires or drivetrain noise before anything else like Tesla or any hybrid/EV , golf carts etc
