I have one (NOS) and I am looking for another single Dynaco A-430 Super-Fidelity output transformer in nice shape (and fully functional) to make a pair. Please PM me if you have one sitting in the closet. This is what it looks like:

If you want a matched pair, I'd sell that one on ebay and buy a new pair from dynakitparts.
That one is really early and rare.

One of the reasons I'll suggest this as well is based on a pair of Mk.iii's I had. Acquired them at a yard sale in their boxes. Nicely built but not much in the way of evidence they ever got used. One was unstable. The fix I applied to both after eventually swapping out its OPT on the bench was to reduce the level of NFB applied through the global loop. I don't know how variable these are...but there is certainly some.
cheers,
Douglas

Thanks for the input, all. I appreciate it.

I had hope that there was someone else that wanted to sell a singel Dynaco A-430 (possibly after trying unsuccessfully for a long time to find a mate :D). The specimen I have is very nice NOS.

My pair of MkIIIs has the original A-431 output transformers, but I would like to build a second pair of monoblocks with the “Dynaco Super-Fidelity” potted OT - to see if I can hear any difference.

Had anyone done that - compared the “regular” Dynaco outputs with the comparable “Super-fidelity” models?

I see this post was quite some time ago but if you're still looking, i have this amp and would be willing to part out for the right price. I don't have much knowledge and after lots of forums and research i believe it was an old DIY. I brought it to a guy who tested everything and while there was a couple minor glitches everything did work.
