I have four Magnavox 170AA mono power amplifiers. I was told they all work but I haven't powered any of them up on a variac. I will guarantee all the iron. One is actually a 170BB but I can't find the difference other than an accessory outlet which I already removed. Physical condition is quite nice on these. There are only paint scratches to the tranny bells- no dents or little indentions at all! I have too much other stuff to ever get to this upgrade/hotrod project. $425 plus shipping. I will not break up. Here is what is included:
* Four Magnavox 170AA tube monos (one is actually a 170BB but made identical to the other AAs)
* One pair of Edcor GXPP15-6-8K output transformers
* Some parts- speaker output 5 way posts, rcas, etc.
* tubes (12 6v6 (4 of them Thomas branded and match), 4 6an8, 1 5Y3, 2 5U4)
Everything you see pictured, you get. The inside shot is pretty much the same on all 4 so I didn't get too carried away. The power trannies are HUGE on these (think like Dynaco MK 3 big). I believe these will sound very nice if someone goes to the trouble of finishing what I started. Order another pair of Edcors and have matching pairs for bi/tri-amping. Price is firm
Cash is preferred but will consider these as partial trade toward a CJ, VTL, Rogue, ARC, Cary, Sonic Frontiers or Quicksilver tube pre or power amp. That's about all I'm after at this point...
