FS: Original Danley Unitys + Servo OB Bass SALE PENDING

Guys

UPDATED: WILL SHIP!!

Ok, this is painful. Its taken me the better part of a year to pull these together. They are absolutely world-beater speakers coving 20khz. It’s a 3-way system with 300hz to >20khz handled by a Unity Horn (the original!! Impossible to find used; a true 2-way horn). A true point source! Compression drivers are Radian 475PBs. I’m including custom speaker cables for the midrange drivers (8x Pyle PDMR5 installed), allowing for an easy 8-ohm load accomplished via series-parallel wiring.

The bass (<20hz to 300hz) is handled by the best bass system in existence – The GR Research / Rythmik Audio H-frame open baffle bass system. Two servo-controlled 12” woofers (Rythmik SW-12-16FR) per side in a push-pull open baffle h-frame arrangement. Again, best bass out there - they start and stop on a dime!

I’ve been handling all crossover duties with my computer and a program called Audiolense but 3-way active is only one way to accommodate these speakers. I also have the crossover diagram (easily constructed) for the horn if you would like to go at it passively. The subs are powered by their own off-board amps (also included – in very nicely built with spikes, custom enclosures) and can be tuned individually for ones listening room.

The cabinet work (full H-frame construction and horn finishing) was handled by an expert cabinet maker in Brooklyn. They look beautiful in a matt black finish. Rated a 7 because they aren’t a commercial design, but you’ll be hard pressed finding better looking speakers!

In terms of sound, you can do no better for dynamics. The speakers sound absolutely real and WAY bigger than life. The point source “feature” of the horn makes them very useable in small spaces as well as in big spaces. The tunability of the bass system, too, makes the speakers very easy to integrate into any-sized listening space.

Looking for $2,950 OBO.

Thanks for looking and feel free to ask any and all questions!

Jim
