I just received 2 of the AudioSource 30009, 180w sub amps.
I would like some ideas for the best value drivers to match.
The intent is one for music and one for a small HT setup that will use the TB W3-871's for the mains and surrounds.
I would like these to be 2 really nice sounding subs but keep the cost as low as possible.
Thanks

FYI,
These dipole subs have four 8" TB woofers per side in a W-Frame configuration as described by Linkwitz.

Why do you insist on building one for music & one for HT.
what i would do is build 2 identical subwoofers, place them in the corners behind the main speakers, and use them for both music and HT. I think that this way you get better quality for both music and HT, at the same price as building two seperate subs!

agreed.
The one for HT is for a friend.
The one for music is for me.
Do you think any of the one's I mentioned come close to the Shiva or NHT?
I'm afraid the amps I have are a little underpowered so I was planning to build the best budget subs possible.

How about SEAS
Hi,
Maybe you should consider Seas 8" aluminium?
I completed a sub with Seas L22r4x (or something like that) few weeks ago.
I put it in 22liter closed box with 120w diy amp and XO with L-T. transform.
I can recommend it for a music sub. The sound quality is excellent with real deep punch. Although it is not a SPL monster but freq. range is flat from x-o point to 30Hz.
I am going to use it with 3" TB fullranges as well.
