Looking for information on building my own subwoofer. I've been interested in doing my own diy subwoofer driver for years now and have been having issues finding resources for information... mainly on building your own motor assembly-pole piece top plate magnet ect also custom voice coil winding... the interweb is a great place to find information but it seems info on this subject is lacking... I would like to make a high spl high xmax driver for a car audio application but want to do it myself for knowledge and enjoyment purposes... any help would be greatly appreciated!
While not a dedicated loudspeaker design tool FEMM is quite capable of doing motor calculations.
