Hi,
I am in process of changing the drivers in my 2 vented subs with newer Visaton TIW 250 8 OHM units. The current boxes give me net volume of 65l, which I would like to increase to about 80l.
So, I have two options, first: to slightly modify/enlarge the current boxes to desirable volume with no stuffing at all, and second, to put determined amount of polyfill , that will imitate bigger volume.
The subs will go up to 84Hz (LR/24dB, by EV Dx34a digital x-o).
Ia am ok with any option, but wonder which one would give better sound quality , smaller volume with stuffing or bigger, without.
Thank you in advance for any opinion.

Thank’s a lot Weldon, you are right. Yesterday, I find some older posts written by Sreten and Svante that lead me to the conclusion that there is no substitute for pure volume.
