Re: subwoofer plate amp recommendation?

Can you recommend a plate amp to use for my subwoofer DIY project? It will be two separate sub cabinets, each comprised of a 10" Klipsch 93db aluminum cone driver in a horn loaded cabinet.

I had ordered a Hypex HS200 to drive both of them in parallel. But it has been back ordered for two months!!! and I'm tired of waiting. Besides, it's not cheap at $300. Do you think I would be better off with one cheaper (perhaps lower powered) plate amp for each cabinet instead of one for both? Maybe a pair of something like these...

Parts Express 120W SUBWOOFER AMPLIFIER $99

Apex Jr Subwoofer Amp $95

My only requirement besides the usual plate amp controls is high-level inputs since my preamp only has one set of outputs and "Y-ing" the output screws up the sound of my mains.

Wait for the Hypex if you can afford it. If you are looking to save money, I think a single 250W plate amp like parts express or adire would still serve you better than 2 low end plate amps. I have an adire 250W for my HT sub, but I would have preferred the Hypex if I was planning to use its xover rather than my receiver's.
