I was given a Sanyo JA 660-2 amplifier and the matching JT 660 tuner. The tuner is powered by a low voltage power cable from the amplifier. Looking for the cable that connects the two.

Attached some pictures. the white connector is on a short cable coming out of the back of the tuner, and the black connector is on the back of the amplifier. Looks like the same style connector, one being male, the other female. No, they will not mate.

Funny thing, the power out from the amplifier is labeled as ~8 volts/Max 150 mA/"To TP660 AC in" [<<??] and the short cable on the JT 660 is labeled 18 VAC/450 mA. The units certainly look like a matched pair, and they were presented as a matched pair, but after seeing the labeling on the power connectors I'm not so sure.

Or was the tuner originally powered by a wall wort and the connector on the amp for something else?

TP 660 is the matching turntable and the directions shown on the rear panel confirm that its AC power connector/cable is low voltage AC and intended for that purpose alone. I'll take a guess that the JT 660 tuner can be mains powered via the standard AC outlet to the right side of this one but likely you weren't given the matching cable.
