LME49600 vs discreet

I'm building a headphone amp and I'm trying to decide if I want the opamp output buffer to be discreet or IC based.
I'm wondering if a class A buffer like this

Would outperform the LME49600 or vice versa?
I have a difficult time thinking of how the discreet circuit could be inferior to the IC.
