Sanken fake transistors

Recently I made the mistake of buying Sanken transistors on ebay, the seller is polida2008, the transistors looks suspicious to me, after installing them in my Saxon A300, it blew all fuses, I am 99.99% sure the parts are counterfeits, need some opinions.

That guy sells everything at the cheapest price... No doubt..
I bought few TDA1514's they were fake, polida was hes ebay name. Now i NEVER buy any electronics stuff off ebay resistors and soldering iron tips only maybe..
This thread should be located at Parts 🙂

I always laugh at my weird profile picture, its not me on that picture, got it from a somekind of HiFi forum 😀

I dont understand why anyone buys parts from ebay. Just use digikey. Yes it's more expensive but you never have to question the authenticity.

The SAP line is obsolete -- apparently, the emitter resistor used to fail. At any rate, Digikey doesn't carry Sanken diode incorporated transistors. Allegro Micro is the US distributor last I remember. You can also order from Profusion PLC in the UK.

I prefer the On Semi ThermalTrak devices -- the diode is not electrically connected to the transistor. OnSemi is carried by all the major distributors.

I bought expensive PCM1704K dac ics from polida2008. They're fake. No output!
I sent one back, got another one. Dead again. A the end I send all back for refund. Envelope, for some reason, was sent back to Europe. I shipped them back again (they gave me a different address) and this time they told me that they were soldered and damaged (they're SMD... and were professionally desoldered and sent back as received) so they couldn't refund.

Avoid polida2008 ebay seller carefully.

I replaced them by others bought in Germany and they accidentally worked perfectly.
I also bought another couple from USA and they were fine. Accidentally I think.
