Hello, I am new as a poster to this forum, and have found the information on it very useful.

I am considering building a copy of the Quad 303 circuit, the appeal being its simplicity and bomb-proof reputation. I have constructed a simulation in LTSpice, and am trying to establish the size of heatsink that will be needed for the output transistors. LTSpice is telling me that the dissipation in TR1 and TR2 is 33W peak, average 13.2W. Is that about right? If so, this seems to imply a total heatsink requirement per channel of about 1.85 degreesC/W to cope with this average dissipation.

Sorry to be asking such a basic question on this forum. It's proved difficult to find a clear description of how to work out the dissipation, and maths is definitely not my subject!

Thanks in advance to anyone with any ideas.:)

Mike
