Default Ne 5532 15+15 or 18+18

i am working with some 5532 applications
some claim that supply of 18+18 volts will provide more headroom or so
any ideas for example in a RIAA application what is wise to use ????

opinions please

You have to ask yourself what in reality is going to cause an RIAA preamp to run out of headroom... answer, some vinyl defect/scratch etc... so if it clips on 15 volt rails there's a good chance it would on 18 or 22 as well.
If you stick to 18 volts you at least can use different devices, use 22, the max and you are more limited.

Opamps tend to sound different at different supply voltages and it has nothing to do with headroom. Last years though it's been more a "objectivist" talk here: datasheets, modelling in software etc.
