Help, Kenwood KR-8010

Hi all,

My father has a Kenwood KR-8010 he bought new in the 70's for big bucks.

one day a few years back, we were using it, all was fine then the amplifiers clicky relays clicked off never to come back. It's been out of use since then, We all can solder fine it's just tracing the problem down?

We no longer have any trusty audio repair shops left unfortunately.

any help/info on this would not only be really appreciated by me, but my father also (what can I say 1970's 125wpc rms @ 8 ohms is something to be missed)

I've been running into that problem in some older amps,and in ~75% of the cases,it's been faulty electrolytic caps causing the offset/bias to drift,and tripping the DC-protection.

Just one possibility.

yeppers, I get one in these days and I start pulling all electrolytics and replacing them. Starting with the smallest ones.
