i know this has been discussed in other threads, however i have a couple of questions specific to my build:
ive got a sure bluetooth board:
Sure Electronics' webstore Bluetooth V4.0 Audio Receiver Board w APT-X - BRB3
for what its worth ( no extra info given on page)
this is the bluetooth module it appears to use.
Sure Electronics' webstore Bluetooth 4.0+ EDR Audio Communication Module APT-X Wireless Music Stereo
it will be located inside an aluminium case, so an external antenna is necessary.
i have purchased a 2.4ghz antenna with sma socket and pigtail.
i assumed i would cut the antenna trace, connect antenna there, then connect the antenna ground return to the grounded shield over the bluetooth module.
does that sound right? without a schematic im unable to verify.
other issue is the sma socket will be grounded to the chassis if i bolt it through. should i get a rubber gromet so it is insulated from the chassis?
many thanks, Robin.
