Good day all,
I have found a few of these regulators between my spares. I intend to build a preamp soon, would these be a good option for regulators in a power supply ?

You can easily use this for a power supply. You should put a nice stable reference on the +input. Then using feedback from the output to the -input you can scale that up to the value you want - it is a normal opamp gain circuit, but used with a DC input only.
Your raw rectified voltage supplies power to the power opamp. Of course your output should be set somewhat lower than the raw supply.

For a negative version swap the opamp inputs.

Have to correct myself - what looks like a dot on the crossing
from Q3 collector to Q4 collector is not electrically connected.
This is rather an artifact of multiple paper copying.

R4 looks to be strange value for 10 A current limit though.
Note a "0 µF " cap also ..

Interesting circuit - last one in the application note.
