What size DC converter?

Hiya
I'm a bit slow to understand numbers and conversion...need some advice on this one:



If Im running the rockville db15 amp

(4 Ohm: 900 Watts x 1 Channel <1% THD+N)

off a 24v battery, what size of DC-DC converter do I need?


Something like this? but what Amps/Watts rating do I need?

The converter by itself doesn't create energy, so You need at minimum a 900W converter. I would go for a 1500W in order to have some spare energy.


But wait.... That amp can do 6000W... oh dear, it will be a big converter.
Perhaps a new 12V battery would be cheaper...

Well, the amp itself comes with ( or is recommended to use ) a 150A fuse.

You could run it on the 60A converter and not turn it up.
