Yes. It will slow down the transient response of the regulator, which worries some, but I would argue that this is a good thing. It reduces the amplitude of change at the regulator output with current changes and shifts the Fourier components of the output response to much lower frequencies. In my own circuits, I tend to make C1 much bigger, 47u or so.
