Driving ESL with valves/tubes

Best thing is direct drive (such as Sanders) which is certainly the way to go if you can (I used B+ of 2300 v and maybe 600-700 v-rms drive).

Next best may be the concept of the earliest Dayton-Wright ESLs. Mike Wright took a fairly ordinary audio amp circuit but with a step-up transformer, not the usual step-down kind with 4-8-16 Ohm secondary.
