Hi. I´m asking for help. Could someone here in the forum that has these parts as spare on hand send me a few?
I have two PCBs for this project and I wanna build a stereo Zen V4 (Penultimate ZEN) amp with those, and I need these parts:
IRF044 - six pieces
ZTX 450 - two pieces
ZVP3310 - two pieces.
I give up trying to find those here in Brazil.
I can pay by paypal or I can trade for other parts, like tubes and fancy caps I have...
If you can help, just email me. Thanks!

You can substitute ordinary NPN and PNP devices in TO-92
packages, as there is nothing special about the Zetex parts
in this application.
For Mosfets, you can pretty much substitute any vertical power
Mosfet that you can find in a TO3 or TO-3P package.

thanks, pass!
But...
What about the small mosfet at the input, the zvp3310? Is there any other part that I can substitute it for?

I might be able to help.Drop me a line.
In fact I might be ordering very soon from digikey so I could include some of this stuff in the shipment.
irf 9610 is good for input.
I am in Rio , where are you?

ZVP 3310 is a Zetex device in a tO-90 package 🙂

mmm... now I see.
I couldn´t get any info on a zvp3310. All I find is datasheets for zvp3310a (TO92) and zvp3310f (SOT 23) and those are really small.
Sorry for the silly question, but what´s the size of a TO-90?
So, I´ll try to get the IRF9610 for the input locally. I´m almost sure I will be able to buy this part.
Should I need to buy many and match for a stereo version?
Also, about the BJT and other mosfets, what type of devices do I need? Any special requirements? Low noise? High hfe? Common types recommendations, specially for the other mosfets (IRFP044 in the original)?
many questions, I know...
The problem is that I probably would need to match all the transistors for a stereo version, so I would have to buy it already matched or buy in quantity and match myself, what would be much more time consuming and expensive for me, as I only want to build two channels of these...
All and all, I sent a message to protos, so he might be able to help me as he is also in Brazil.
Thanks for all the replies!
Thats the one!All I find is datasheets for zvp3310a (TO92)
Zetex calls the case "E-line" which is approx the same size as a TO92. Just flat on 2 sides, pretty confusing when
installing them in a PCB😉 You end up turning them the wrong way around a few times😀
Steen🙂
You dont need to match the transistors in ZenV4.
Regarding the IRFP044 substitutes you would want to look for the lowest input capacitance (Ciss) device you can find, as long as the power-ratings are okay. Not many devices has as low a Ciss as the IRFP044's though. Higher Ciss increase the high frequency distortion.

TO-90 was a typo, I meant TO-92. Sorry.
