Inrush current limiter?

it depends

Depends on what you want. A CL-60 in-line with a primary lead will work fine, just don't do an off-on rapid sequence or you won't have any inrush protection.

Also if your amp is AB rather than class A you might find the CL-60 does not drop all the way down to its minimum resistance due to low average current draw.

The project 39 is good too, I implemented that with a CL-60 instead of a resistor. More complicated but pretty good protection.

Hi,
if your power supply has a habit of dropping out for more than a few cycles then I would use a relay shorting resistor or resistor+cl60.

In any case use a relay to short out the thermistor and properly connect the amp to the supply.
