DIY Sony VFET pt 1

My bad.

It is a DPST SW.

But from the schematics and the filter PCB board, it looks that a DPST could work. I might be wrong.

I just checked the PCB, the speaker is short to GND without power.

I still have grievances with this switch. If I don't switch it off fast enough (like smacking it) I get a disturbing Pop! in my precious vintage compression drivers. Does anybody know a switch that switches off with maximum effort?
 
Two secrions? Anyone of these?

Thanks, but they look very similar to the one included in the kit that is now installed. I thought we concluded that it was a DPST as well.
I was looking for something with more Oomph!

There is always a thump, I was just trying to keep it down to a dull roar.

However just for you I have an alternative switch arrangement to try,
which should shut the relay off faster.

Thank you so much for the help! Just to confuse things, does it work on the P-channel amp as well? I aquired both through various donations and back alley deals.

The one used is Lamb 10A 125V / 250V, and the hole in the chassis measures 20x12mm, for future reference.

The smaller surface area of the pad will be a significant detriment to heat transfer. Even if the pad is 2x more efficient (it isn’t) you will still have issues moving the heat from the bracket to the heatsink.

The included paste will cover the entirety of the thermal interface. Use it, works wonderfully.
